There are generally two cases in which items will return after being removed by XP Repair Pro, and rebooting. The most likely cause, is that the error being discovered during the scan is caused/created by a program that is starting up when Windows starts, or a program that you use regularly. This is typically a normal effect and if the error is recognizable as being something on your system, it can be ignored. The second most likely cause is that XP Repair Pro has encountered an error that is not really an error and shouldn't be discovered. If you believe an item keeps returning that you think should receive our attention, please contact our support and explain the issue in as much detail. It is not harmful to ignore most items that keep returning, unless you don't recognize anything about the errors details. On a typical machine, it is assumed that people who use a lot of different types of programs, may ignore about 10-15 items. People who typically only browse the internet, or send emails and don't use many third party software other than Windows, it should be less, around 2-5. Many freeware programs that are still being developed, tend to have unfinished features storing useless data in the registry being picked up by our scanner. There are an estimated 100 million freeware applications. Hundreds of thousands of more applications are created every year. We are working on it but sending us your error reports (**A1) that include items that are not being removed, helps us further update our product.
**A1 - Refer to this kb article on how to diagnose, ignore, and report problems that recurr, or cause problems on your system.
